A fully featured Ajax Store Locator that uses Google Maps to find the nearest Store given an address or postcode. Has a password protected admin panel that is used to list all Stores in the database and the ability to add/edit/delete Stores.

Updated v2.01 (06/04/11)

A few minor bugfixes:

• Accented characters now work


• Initial SQL URL now 255 characters not 25

People upgrading just need to copy over the /includes/common.inc.php file

I’m curious how you would go about zooming out dynamically to fit all the pindrop results on the map?

I was hoping you could help with this as if I use a 100km or 100mile radius, the hard coded map zoom variable usually doesnt fit all the pindrops on one screen.
Hello, around line 193 of the common.js file there’s a zoom level, you’d probably need to change this depending on the search radius.

Yes you can specify a region for searches and change the initial lat/lng of the map so that it displays any area you want. Email me if you run into issues.
Hi, Someone asked about having the full list of stores load under the map upon initial load. Was this done as its a function I also need.

Also is the layout of the page easy to customise such as moving the postcode entry above the map?
Hello, the list of stores is a custom requirement, contact me for a quote. The page is fairly easy to change if you know HTML & CSS. Check out the code to see how it’s currently done.
