HI, just purchased this script… having trouble uploading a large zip… 50MB.. I changed all the values in the config file.. still having problems.. the browser seems to time out .. and the connection times out..

I changed the values for LIMIT and EXECUTION to be “0” which I think is unlimited.. right?

Do the values in this script overwrite the values on your php.ini file??

When i try to upload any arzhive .zip, the browser display blank page, but when upload a multiple image the code run good.

I try to install in another server and in this run OK, the only difference to both is register_globals in first is OFF (not run code) and the other is ON (code run ok)

I have just purchased your image uploading/resizing script.It is working very well and is exactly what we where after.

I was wondering if it is possible to resize the thumb image to exact proportions, and also reduce the quality of the thumb very slightly to make the file smaller.

For example, we upload very large images around 2 – 4Mb and make the thumbnails which are 600px X 600px.We would like to make sure that the thumbs are always the same dimension, even if the original is not *.Also, we would like to reduce the quality down to 90% so if saves on some space.

• The backgrounds are always white.


• The images should be aligned in the centre when expanding.

I have used a script in the past that which actually does these two things. I am unable to combine them though…

eg if i set a max SIZE to 300 pixels and uploaded a 600 wide by 1200 high image the thumbnail would come out 75 wide and 300 high?

Hi I’m about to purchase your script but I have a few questions:

1.- I need to always resize all images to 400×300 automatically I don’t need an input to do that because all images must be 400×300, it is possible to set this somewhere on your script?

2.- I need to always apply the same 400×300 watermark to all the images uploaded, is this possible?

Do you get “notice” warnings as errors or which type of error?

If there are notice warnings you may stop them showing by adding on the top of php file this line

error_reporting(E_ERROR);

and it will not appear anymore.

On ImageTools.class.php on line 58 there is a ini_set declaration that overwrites your “memory_limit” contraint. So either remove it or change to your desired limit its the same. I suggest you to remove that line and use your own ini_set functions.

1. Yes, there is an option where users must ‘verify’ their email.2. Not by default but it’s easy to add one.3. You can sign out via the script but you will need to disconnect via your Facebook account.4. You could use this with CodeIngniter, there is nothing that would stop that.

You can add a new field in the form with the type ‘textarea’.

‘message’ => array( ‘type’ => ‘textarea’, ‘label’ => ‘Message’),

Then you can use ”$user->setMetaValue( $form->getField(‘message’)->getValue() );” To save that data.

This problem manifests in a certain version of PHP when strict standard are enabled. You can get around the problem by changing the file.

”/members/www/1/admin/library/com/mokoala/Form/Fields/FormFieldCaptcha.class.php”

And changing line 6 from

“public function setValue( $value )”

to

“public function setValue($post_value = null){“

I’ve submitted a new version of the script with this fix.

I am purchasing this script to setup a registration/login area for my website.It would be installed on http://tierrasanta2hoa.org/ specifically when you click the login on the top right.http://www.cmczona.com/HOA/ResidentLogin.phpCurrently you can just enter 12345 to demonstrate access to the private page but would like a login system such as your script. Right now it is just to display functionality.Basically residents would need to create a user id and password so they could gain access to a secured page for our home owners association.

I discovered an issue with password recovery. After pressing the “Recover password” button there is no information “We have sent you an email containing your new password.” What happened is the form disappeared and one sentence is left: “Enter your email below, to reset your password”. Something else… Can you explain to me how “Posts” and “Follow” work? What are the “followers” and “following” options for if users can’t add the posts? I understand that only Admins can add posts so how can users follow each other? I’d like to use “Posts” as comments (is that possible?) so in this case following makes sense – if I like posts of some user I follow him. Please, explain to me how I should understand this.

“Posts” are basically blog entries, just a simple way for Admin users to update the front page of the site with whatever they choose. I should perhaps change the wording of that to be honest.

“Follow” can be used for whatever people want. You can use the $user->isFollowing() (http://mokoala.com/documentation/Module/RecordUser/isFollowing) method if you want to extend this yourself but the core use for friends and followers is when you use some of my other products such as the Community Gallery Manager (http://getcashclub.com/codey/item/community-gallery-manager/476680).

When someone add a new image friends and followers are notified of this update.

Being able to post updates to peoples timeline is something I’m considering for future versions.

I found an another issue… When I deleted modules “Followers” and “Friendship” I got this error:

Hi,

If you are running the admin in “Full Mode” then you can delete modules but you will need to remove the corresponding code from the front-end.

Full mode is more for advanced users & the core modules aren’t specifically meant to be deleted. You will need to remove references to the “Followers” and “Friends” module in the front-end code.

I bought and installed the script, but when I login as a admin I don’t see any users. The resfresh is working, thue ! The only way I can see the users is to go in the database (ls_user table).

when you click the “ban” button the ip is banned till you release this ban. However you should keep in mind that most visitors ips change on a daily basis. This is not a full secure method.

as the script relies on the browsers prompt() function it is not possible to enlarge the text-area. Due to this reason it is also not possible to store chat-conversations.

This item looks great but having some dynamic meta tags and titles on webpages are not very good. When the google robots have passed on your web pages you just don’t want to change it after that for referencing. For me I think hardcoded meta tags on each page is simply the best.meta,
I agree with you, but script was not intended to make meta tags dynamic, it allows you to organize all meta data in one place and easily manage it.

On my linux server I use following command to setup cron in Plesk (not sure about cpanel though, probably same)

If you will enable php processing in html files – then yes, it will work.

To enable php processing in html files you will need to create .htaccess file with following code:

I have both version of php and mysql running on my server, but i cannot get this script to work. Created a databasewith a User and password. Modified dbconnect. When i upload and try to run, all i get is a blank page for install.php and an Invalid query: No database selected error for index.php. Any suggestion?

If you get such error message – no database selected – it means that there is no connection to database, most likely you have something wrong in dbconnect.php (db settings are wrong). Double check your hostname, password, username, and db name.. When you run install.php – it has to show several lines of success messages – like “created table such and such”

You can adjust the system to work as login system – however you will need some php/mysql skills.

You can view the source code and if what you’ve entered in administration is the same what you see in meta data in the source code – it means it’s working.

HTML will not work, unless you will enable php processing in html pages ( http://php.about.com/od/advancedphp/p/html_php.htm )

Yes, you would place this SQL code at the top of the installation SQL script that is executed in the “Install Database Tables” step of the installer.

I bought this script and trying to make it run but I’m getting error at the step where script executes SQL file to create tables. Here’s the error :-

There has been attempt to setup the database on utable but failed!

I already went through GettingStartedGuide.html and Implementation.pdf and followed almost all the required steps.

It’s good script and I want it should work so please reply as early as possible that’s why I bought it.

Since morning I’ve been working on it and it’s now almost 6 PM, I also tried to debug and enabled show_database_error_messages, debug_sessions => true,debug_posts => true,debug_gets => true,

and came to know script is unable to execute the queries (all the queries). I myself exported the .sql file from phpmyadmin so I was pretty much sure it was error free but then I cross-checked it. I deleted all the queries except one table query and even then I got error. I executed the same query in phpmyadmin and it executed without error. Then I started debugging class.databases.php and printed the query from script and executed that query in phpmyadmin and it executed without error. Then I stopped because now it seems error is in the script so please fix or let me know what should I do.

I bought this script to make my life easier by saving development time, if I had to spend the whole day on making it run, and debugging then it was better I’d have written the code myself and saved the money.install,

I will gladly help you with this issue, but to be able to do so could you please send me a copy of your php configuration file and the sql mask file. Then I can reconstruct your setup with your data and see the failure on my end.

Hopefully it is just an configuration issue. It might the Setup Wizard config, it might be your masked SQL queries, it might be the MySQL server settings or user grants … or it might be a bug.

I never wanted to reply because you replied very late but then I thought the fact is it’s only the one side of the coin which I was looking at, it’s true I had to debug, spent a lot of time, fix the bug by sparing time from my existing work which was not possible for me but the other side of the coin is you weren’t able to reply….might be you had some important work or an urgent piece of work or may be something which I can’t imagine and so I must understand your situation being a good human being and I have forgiven you.

I’m replying just to help you so that you fix the issue in the script so that others get the benefit out of it and I still support you and your script because you made such wonderful setup script.

FYI: Your last comment which you made 4 days ago, made me sure that your care about customers and it was just mishappening so I’m happy.

I asked you about this statement :-ALTER DATABASE database_name CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_general_ci;

I don’t want to add this statement in .sql (because it can be removed) rather I want to execute it the moment DB is created or selected so I made the changes in the code and did that.

Secondly, I’m telling you the way from which you can generate the same error at your end (which I had to face) and the code which I applied to fix it (may be you can come up with better one).

In my .sql file there were couple of statements in this way :-

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `table_name`;CREATE TABLE `table_name` ( `one` smallint(4) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `second` varchar(20) NOT NULL DEFAULT ’’, `three` text NOT NULL, `four` enum(‘1’,’2’,’3’) NOT NULL DEFAULT ‘1’, PRIMARY KEY (`id`)) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8;

——Dumping data for table `table_name`

INSERT INTO `table_name` (`one`, `second`, `three`, `four`) VALUES ;INSERT INTO `table_name` (`one`, `second`, `three`, `four`) VALUES ;INSERT INTO `table_name` (`one`, `second`, `three`, `four`) VALUES ;INSERT INTO `table_name` (`one`, `second`, `three`, `four`) VALUES ;INSERT INTO `table_name` (`one`, `second`, `three`, `four`) VALUES ;

and .sql file was full with these type of statements :-

DROP, CREATE, INSERT (Multiple insert statements)

The problem was :- your code was not executing all the statements in .sql even not the first set of statements (mentioned above) and showing error during setup process, then I removed the DROP statement from .sql file and your script was creating table but considering all the rest of the INSERT statements as a one statement rather than taking as five statements so I dug deep into the code found many things but in a nutshell, There is a function named Get Sql Mask Parsed :-

In it there is a foreach loop, I replaced that code with this code :-
