Technical Note: I’m running some HTML encryption in a few key locations in the Live Preview to protect the code. Rest assured, the full version that you’ll receive upon purchase is unencrypted and very simple to use.

Iconic uses the well designed Nevis by Ed Merritt as the primary title font (Available Free), and Lucida sans (a free system font) for the body copy. The tagline is created using Adobe Caslon Pro (semibold), part of the Adobe Font Family – but it can easily be sustituted with Georgia (a system font).

The layout is set to be 940 px wide with a sidebar that fits 300×250 ads perfectly (ideal if you or the client wants an ad block), and incorporates many features ranging from a product or image galleries to blog posts.

I have been trying to install this theme and it will not install (I’m using name.com). I tried purchasing the winace to compress the file, and had to sign up for one of their partners but wasn’t able to download that as well.

In most cases you shouldn’t have to use WinAce – I know that Windows has a easy tool for extracting files (just right click, then select “extract to…”). That should do the trick

Hi Thank you for the quick response-I am not doing an ftp to my site because with name.com you can upload directly, so I would need to compress and upload the zip file, unless you recommend that I use coreftp and manually ftp. I uploaded the zip file and it didn’t work.designer,

I’m not really familiar with name.com, but if you’re running into issues with uploading, you may want to contact them directly. If all you need to do is zip the HTML files, then I support you just want to make sure that you’re ONLY zipping up the site files (not the PSDs or anything else). Short of that, I’d recommend a manual FTP as that’s the quickest, cleanest way to get these files to a server.

I will try manual ftp but I was wondering if I will need a lot of customization when it is uploaded, if so, will you be able to help and what is your rate? I already have my logo but I think this template is perfect and is exactly what I want to use but I am not sure if it will need a lot of customization.

I’d love to help, but I’m actually not taking on any custom work at the moment as I focus on supporting existing products and launching new products; as such, I just don’t have the capacity to take on custom projects or installs at the moment.

Thanks for the request though – I’d recommend checking around on the net though, there’s quite a few people that do this kind of work out there

Yep – this is just an HTML template at the moment, so if you need it to work in WordPress, you’ll actually need to have it converted (which, honestly, isn’t a quick and easy process). What’s sold in this template is just the HTML and CSS files, no backend content management is included.

Hi Brandon-just an FYI -I am using the Rapidblog on name.com and they do not allow manual FTP (I just learned this today). I will be migrating to another hosting plan today but I will need customization.

Great theme, and I’ve gotten it almost there however I’m having some logo issues:

When I edit and replace the logo.gif and logo2.gif files into the CSS > images folder, all is well when I preview on my computer. However when I upload (FTP), no logo shows on any page/subpage.

Any insight into what I am missing? I’m editing the PSD chop file, and then using “Save As”.

Hi Caustek – it’s hard to say without seeing a link, but perhaps the new logo isn’t making it up to the server? If you can post a link I can help a little more

The files are for sure up on the server, and like I said, when I preview on my computer with the local files, all is good. I’m simply just uploading that entire folder (FTP), and everything else shows up but the logos (including the creattica image which I also edited in PS).

Any thoughts?

However, the sIFR doesnt seem to include Latin1, which I need to be able to write swedish.

Is there some way you can open it and choose to include Latin1 ?

I’ve looking at purchasing this theme, but in the live preview all the heading fonts are messed up in the latest Firefox (12.0) – they are stretched out and cut off. It does however work fine in IE8 and in Chrome.

I realise this is not a new theme, but is it something you can provide any info on? I do like it and want to purchase, but don’t want to do so unless I know this isn’t going to be an issue.

HELLO I’M HAVING TROUBLE EITH THE SERVICE GALLERY. THIRD PAGE IS EMPTY, EVEN DOE THERE ARE 7 ITEMS THAT COULD BE SHOWN, SO I FILLED WITH MORE INFORMATION TO COMPLETE THE 4X3 GRID AND THEN A FOURTH PAGE APPEARS EMPTY AND NOW I CAN SEE THE THIRD PAGE. HOW CAN THIS BE FIX? IF THE GRID IS 4X3 12 PROJECTS PER PAGE THE 13 SHOULDNT BE ALONE IN THE NEXT PAGE?
